Atheists: if you are so secure in your beliefs, then why.....?

I have met some intelligent and respectful atheists in this forum and unfortunately a slew who seem to be devoid of any social graces. What is odd is they spend all their time in a segment called religion and spirtuality to decry those who are pushing their beliefs on them. Ironic? Be forewarned your attempting to reason with some who don't want to be reasonable. What makes me laugh is how often I am told how atheists have better morals yet I see nothing in these behaviours which makes me feel like rising to their standards. I know children often put on a big performance when looking for attention but I expect a little more from those who are hopefully past puberty. Edit: As much as i appreciate humour endless ridicule and insults defeats the pupose of this forum which is to ask and answer questions and exchange ideas. Edit: Kiss my math I find it a little suspicious that you have been ped over jobs because you were an atheist. Why would you even bring up your views at a job interview? I have never once been asked what religion or belief I had at any job interview. If the issue was raised it seems quite possible that it was raised by you which i itself may have been a tip off to any potential employer "this person want's to make their belefs an issue".
