Go to your local library and see if they have any of the major newspapers of the day. If not, search the archives of 3 or 4 newspapers on line. The St Louis Post-Dispatch had some good stories at the time, so did the Chicago Tribune and others. If the site wants a fee, try to get your librarian to access it for free, or maybe your computer lab teacher. The war started because of several provisions of the Treaty of Versailles which ended WWI. The history of pogroms in Europe made the Jews easy scapegoats, plus the fact that many of the larger banks were run by people with Jewish sounding names.
