Is world ending 2012?

I actually asked an astronomer from nasa about this very question, he said that its really just a matter of the myan's not really thinking they needed to go beyond that date. He also stated that its really just one of these "false no evidence" doomsday stories that spread around the internet. YOU CAN GO TO NASA's WEBSITE AND GO TO "ASK AN ASTRONOMER" and HE WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, HE ANSWERED MINE IN LIKE 5 MIN. So WE will all be safe in 2012. Don't worry about magnetic pole shifts or anything like that
