What Can I do about this situation. So far don't see any answers!?

I am a 24 years old father who's wife is keeping contact away from me from my children. She is in California and I have had to move back to NC after she moved out. I have a 7th grade education, no drivers license, no vehicle and no job. I have just heard thru the gvine that she has tried to have me served with child support papers but, since at the time the deputies tried to serve them at my parents home I was not yet in the state they have been returned to California. I heard the court date is July 26, there is no way I can return to California and answer the papers at this time. I am indigent, unemployeed, have depression disorder (been on medication most of my life up to the time I married and then was able to get off them), and as i said only have a 7th grade education. I want to go back to school and at least get my Adult HS diploma so I can get gainful employment so I can support my children and perhaps move back to California so I can be around them. She is denying me any and all contact with my 4 year old and my 1 year old. I tried calling on the 1 year olds birthday and the numbers have been changed to unlisted and private. What are my options? I thought about doing myself in but my wife want that, she says then at least the boys will get death benifits! I just want a chance. My parents have been 90% of our support since we married and she wants to continue being supported in the "manner she has become accustomed", but they are not obligated to continue supporting her! They spent almost all they have taking care of us for the last 4 years. Can I ask for a continuance, will the judge give one since I have not been served, will I one day wake up and be arrested for non support? Is there a chance the courts in California will give me a chance to at least get my GED or High School Diploma at least so I CAN support my children. Someone Please help.
